SSD damage - need part number

Hello there,

A while back one of the components on my SSD got fried up to a point where I can’t tell what it was or what part number it had written on it. Can someone please tell me what this was and if I could buy one online?

Hey Dan, the SSD already got replaced. This is more so for experimenting. I looked online and found this old forum that says the component in question is functioning as a load switch, NTHD4102P, ON Semiconductor, -20V, -4.1A, Dual P-Channel ChipFET, marking C7:

@pomikoli - Do you have the micro soldering skills to replace this tiny part? Don't forget the part is polarized, it needs to be mounted in the correct direction.

This is well beyond most of the DIY folks that come here.

Hi Dan, I would believe I do have the skills. Been microsoldering for well over 2 years now. The hardest job I've done to date is replacing pmic on an ipad mini 1. Wouldn't think this is harder.

@pomikoli - Let us know how it goes! Good Luck!

I think it'll have to wait for a bit. The only NTHD4102P vendor i could find is over in the US and shipping to Europe is 20 euros. Can't see myself paying 20e on a 80cent part anytime soon hehe
