Why is DC In plug in the computer smell like burning?
DC In plug smells like burning.
Power adapter green light blinks quickly.
Computer seems completely dead with or without battery.

Does it work when it's plugged into the wall? What if the battery is in and is fully charged (From another iBook).? If it works when it's plugged into the wall, the logic board or the battery is fried, if it works when a charged battery is in, but doesn't charge when it's plugged into the wall, its either the DC-in board or the Logic board.. if both fails... Logic board.

IT DOESN'T WORK WITH EITHER THE BATTERY OR THE AC ADAPTER PLUGGED IN

NO, ONLY SNIFFING AROUND THE SOCKET SMELLS AT SOMETHING BURNED
