I found the specific part that I needed to replace only the keyboard because I didn’t want to buy the whole assembly but I found out that to replace it I need to remove hinges from the assembly but I don’t know how to remove them nor if they’re made out of plastic or metal. Any tips would be awesome

Hi,
Here’s the hardware maintenance manual for the laptop.
Go to p.50 to view all the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove the upper case assembly.
Doing all this will give you access to the keyboard

Thank you! Unfortunately the manual does not show how to open the assembly to change the keyboard as it has hinges but I really wouldn't know how to put it back.

Here's a video that shows the same as the manual but maybe it will help.
Start at about 8:35 minutes into the video as it shows the upper case with keyboard being removed followed later by the LCD panel and later still the hinges.
The hinges are removed at 11:50 minutes
