LG 34UM94C-P backlight on but no picture

I was working on my notebook with my LG 34UM94C-P attached via HDMI. Suddenly the picture faded and only backlight was on. I would appreciate any help on how to debug the PCB.

I tried to hold the power button/stick for 30 seconds to reset capacitors and I tried to reset the IC205 EEPROM as described here (eventhough my board is different model and PCB is also different, but i found the IC and tried to reset) https://integer13.wordpress.com/2018/04/...

Hi @theduder ,

Have you tried the other input types i.e. DP or Thunderbolt, to see if the problem only occurs when using the HDMI port or not, you didn’t say?

Here’s a link to the service manual.

Go to p.28 thru 31 to view all the no screen/no video troubleshooting flowcharts.

Hopefully they will help you to find out what the problem is and to fix it.

I tried HDMI (notebook detects display) and tried to put a USB stick with images, but I didnt try DP and there is no Thunderbolt. I'll check if I can find a DP cable. I cant remember if there was splashscreen with LG logo when it was working but now there is no splashscreen and no menu showing up.
