How do I replace the battery plug in slot?

The laptop is old and it needs a couple of new parts in it, one of which being the square piece you plug the charger into. The piece is exposed outside of the case and I’m wondering really how to fix it.

Hi @duo01,

You need to remove the battery from the laptop and then open the laptop and remove / replace the DC-In jack cable (supplier example only to show part and cost).
