No signs of life from this MacBook?
I have a Late 2006 White MacBook.
It worked well, although there was an occasional issue where after turning the computer off, I could not get it to turn back on. However, I was able to work around this by disconnecting the battery and MagSafe charger for a day or two, and it would turn back on after reconnecting the power.
A few months ago, however, this problem occurred again, but I have not been able to get it to power back on at all. I have taken it apart and cleaned off what seemed to be a little bit of mild corrosion with a toothbrush and isopropyl alcohol, reset the SMC via Apple’s website instructions and removed the PRAM battery.
The MacBook still has no signs of life. The MagSafe charger shows a green light when plugged in, so the battery is fully charged.
Could there be a faulty fuse somewhere that needs to be replaced? Is this simply a logic board failure that can’t be fixed?

You stated you took the PRAM battery out, did you replace it?
Also what does the onboard battery checker on the battery tell you when you press the checker button? Are all the LED's lit.

@danj I have not replaced the PRAM battery. As for the battery checker, all LED's are lit.
