A 2019 Mac Pro uses a very different type of solid state drive! Review this Mac Pro 2019 Teardown. Jump down to Step 11 to see one of the custom modules. Here’s a deeper dive
The red outlined chips are flash storage and the small orange chip is the I/O buffer. Note there is no controller! A full SSD would have a controller like this drive (the large chip) and the four smaller flash chips
So clearly the Mac Pro unit is not compatible.
