Good day everyone here. im asking for help.

I have my desktop pc and its been working fine for about 2 years. then these past few weeks, I have encounter an unfamiliar issue. When I power on the Box Tower, Its working good but the monitor has no signal and when I try to restart the pc it just the same. the monitor is still no signal. Then sometimes it boots normally but after a few minutes the display has gone and it happens the same when i try to restart. Also I tried to add an external Graphics Card its NVIDIA GT610 then Its working fine but after a few minutes it freezes the display and hang. also the keyboard and mouse are unresponsive.

I tried to fix it by:

1.) Cleaned the Mobo slot for Graphics Card(2gb) and RAM(8gb)

2.) checking the cpu, clean and apply thermal paste.

3.) reset na CMOS

4.) replace Vga cable to HDMI

5.) Re-install OS

Please if anyone knows how to fix it Im desperately need your help. This is my only pc for studying. Thank you in Advance.

Hi @mrvenz

What is the make and model number of the desktop or motherboard if a custom build?

Can you get into BIOS OK with a display showing and the keyboard working and if you can does the display stay on and the keyboard still work if you leave it in BIOS for a while?

@jayeff Yes, Its working fine on my bios.

my Mobo model is Asrock FM2A68M-DG3+ with AMD A8-7650k Radeon R7

Also I tried to boot into safe mode, but the problem also persist and the screen flickered.

when I remove the ext. graphics card the screeb flickered and Hang. but when i put back the graphics card just hanging the display.

Hi @mrvenz

Check if all of the PSU voltages are OK. Here is how to do this.

If the PSU is OK then create a barebones PC i.e. PSU, motherboard + ram (incl.CPU), keyboard and monitor only - disconnect or remove everything else e.g. any add on cards, SSD, HDD, ODD etc and then check if it powers up and that you can get in BIOS.

If that doesn't work then you may have to get the schematics for the motherboard as there is a problem with the motherboard.

A quick search online for Asrock FM2A68M-DG3+ schematics gives results for suppliers but you either have to join the site or pay for it, as I couldn’t find a free download. You may have better luck.

Check the motherboard version that you have (there are two different versions) to make sure that you get the correct one. The information is printed on the motherboard itself.

I have tested my psu and its working the fan is spinning as instant. but Im honesly saying that if this issue could be a board level problem. I cannot do this coz of lack of skills and knowledge on board level problem.
