Smart Assist on & off

hi everyone, a qicycle newbie here.

my bike was okay for a couple of weeks, but earlier today the assist (and the display) started going off when i was riding the bike.

i stopped pedaling and pressing the display again until it turned on, but then after few pedaling it goes off again. I tried turning it on while pedaling, it was on again after few tries, but went off again.

I tried searching for similar problem hoping to find solution on the internet, but no luck.

before i start diving headfirst and improvise my way into electrical (fyi, i know nothing about electricals), is anybody here experienced the same problem before? If so, mind me asking your go-to steps?
