Is the battery the same as that used in the PW2
Can I replace the Kindle PW1 battery with the version used in the PW2?

Hi,
No, they are different batteries.
The 1st Gen. battery has a 4 terminal cable connector, whilst the 2nd Gen battery has a 3 terminal cable connector.
