Why is my phone freeze when connect wifi

Have you checked that the software (aka firmware) for the phone is up to date and also for all the apps that are installed? Have they been updated lately? Open the Play Store app and check.

Try starting the phone in safe mode and check how it works when you turn on WiFi.

If it works OK then a downloaded app may be the cause of the problem. In normal mode it may be connecting to the WiFi and downloading in the background unbeknownst to you and this could slow everything down. A downloaded app is one that you have downloaded and installed on the phone.

In safe mode only the apps that came pre-installed on the phone can be loaded on startup - not all are but some necessary ones are but when you download and install apps that you want, some are set to load on startup and their permissions settings may allow them to go online as soon as a connection is established.

Check the permissions in the settings for each downloaded app and check if you want them to go online without asking you first. Go to Settings > Apps > select the required app > Permissions
