Unit does not Power On

Product: Acer Aspire One ZG5 AOA150

PLEASE NOTE: the problem is not BIOS based or in any software for that matter. The issue looks to be H/ware based

The Problem: The unit does not turn on, even for one second. As soon as i push the on button, the amber light comes on for just one second, or less and then dies. not enough time for anything else to happen, not even the flicker of other LED lights.

thewildnative, check the power supply with a multimeter. You should get around 19 volts on the tip. If you have no output, replace the power supply. Also try to reset your computer by removing the battery and the power cord, then holding the the power button for 15 seconds. If all that is okay, and it still won't work, I would start of by checking the DC jack. It is not uncommon for it to fail.
