Are you sure you're using a 2G network? In most places this has been discontinued. Verify what type of network i.e. 2G, 3G, 4G, LTE, 5G etc your service provider has. Sometimes with some providers you might have to change the SIM card to access a different band

Gonna support this guy here. On the bottom right (or left, I don't really remember) there is a SIM slot. This can be opened with a paperclip. then, just follow the steps @jayeff sent you to
