Check that there is 19V DC at the output cable plug of the charger to make sure that the charger is OK. if you haven't got a DMM (digital multimeter), try using a compatible charger and see if that works

If the charger is OK, it may be a loose or faulty DC-In jack (supplier example only) that is the problem. Sometimes the +ve centre pin of the jack breaks internally in the jack, which opens the power supply circuit to the laptop, preventing it from turning on using the charger or charging the battery.

If the jack is faulty it cannot be repaired, it has to be replaced.

Here's a video that may help. It shows how to open the laptop so that access to the DC-In jack is possible so that it can be checked and tested.

If the jack is OK then there's a problem on the motherboard and further testing would be required to find out what's wrong.
