My hp pavilion elite m9500y has no video
My hp pavilion elite m9500y has no video I tried to boot it up you can hear the fans and everything but there is no video. I think it is the cpu or the gpu

Disconnect power from the PC and hold the PC power button operated for a full 30 seconds then release .
reconnect power and try starting
If OK check the coin cell battery on the motherboard is OK i.e. >2.5V
if not replace it

Have you tried another monitor, video cable etc?
Is the HDD activity light working?
Most likely it is the GPU card although if it failed they may have been a beep error code on POST.

I have tried a different monitor and cable and the hdd light is solid green and there is no beep on boot up

Can't find the manual so I don't know if there's supposed to be a single beep for a successful POST or not.
If not and there's no HP logo on startup it may not even be starting -motherboard?
If the HDD light flashes indicating it is booting into Windows then it's the GPU card. You could try starting in "safe mode" to check if it s a driver problem
