I accidently put extra pressure on the screen so 6 inch has gone dark

You may have damaged the delicate driver board ribbon cable connections between the board and the display panel.

Unfortunately if this has occurred you will have to replace the panel as it cannot be repaired.

To verify what has happened you need to disconnect the power to the TV and then dis-assemble it to a point where you can see the driver boards and the cable connections.

Replacement panels aren't that easy to find. Also if you do happen to find one they can cost nearly half as much as a new TV

Search online for TCL (insert model number) LCD panel or check on the back of the panel itself to find the make and model number of the panel and search for that information.

If you can't source a replacement then the next option is to advertise the TV as TCL (insert model number) faulty screen to hopefully recoup some of the cost towards a new TV
