Resetting GPU handshake with 4k TV

I recently purchased a 120hz 4k Sony TV and I was able to use it as a 4k display with my pc until it suddenly stopped working. Now whenever I use any of the hdmi ports on my gpu it displays a green artifacted screen.

It only occurs with my 3070, and thus particular TV, my monitors provide a fine connection and when I connect it to different TV's it is also fine. I've swapped gpus and used my old 1060 with my Sony TV and that works fine as well.

From what I've read it just seems like there is an issue with the handshake between the two of them. If it's possible to reset it I'd like to know how I could.

Hi,

What is the model number of the TV?

Shutdown the PC in the normal way and then try power refreshing the TV by turning it off and disconnecting the power, then pressing and holding the TV power on button for a full 30 seconds then releasing the button.

Make sure that the cable between the GPU card and the TV is connected at both ends before reconnecting the power to the TV.

Reconnect the power to the TV and turn it on and allow it to start up and then turn on the PC and check.

If still no good check that the resolution setting of the GPU is set to match the TV spec. A lot of TVs even though they state they're 4K actually are at 3840 x 2160 and not 4096 x 2160.

Have you checked that the latest GPU drivers are installed? (GeForce Game Ready Driver - WHQL Driver Version: 517.48 - Release Date: Tue Sep 27, 2022). If they are, try rolling them back to the previous version in case they auto updated and there's a problem with them.
