Why is it at times my phone switches off?
my phone recently switched off while i was listening to music and refused to boot up but after a while it did boot up?

Hi,
If it boots up OK every time when on the charger but not when on the battery only, more than likely the battery is failing and needs to be replaced.
Here's a video that shows how to replace the battery.
Replacement batteries are available online. Search online for BN-59 battery to find suppliers that suit you best.
If doing this yourself seems too daunting, contact a reputable, professional mobile phone repair service and ask for a quote for a battery replacement.
