Why does my chest freezer stop working?
I have a Magic Chef HMCF7W2 chest freezer that stopped working. I opened it up, cleaned up the dust/cobwebs and then replaced the start relay. It started working again. I was going to run it 24 hours before assuming all was fixed but when I went to check on it this morning it was warm again. The compressor is hot, the start and run lights are on but it is quiet and the freezer is warm. What else could it be?
