My PC crashes randomly
I got this build mid September and i had nothing but issues
It crashes randomly sometimes only while playing certain games, sometimes just looking at the desktop sometimes nothing happens for a week and then it starts to randomly crash while always giving me the "Kernel Power 41" error
I've tried everything you will find about this topic
-Updating drivers
-fixing cables
-health checked memory and HDD
-disabled fast startup
And so on
Everything was going fine for a couple of days without any issues whatsoever and now all the methods i tried before aren't helping me anymore and maybe someone here has a solution (i think it's either outdated bios or my gpu is dying but maybe someone knows it better)
Hardware:
Ryzen 5 3600
Radeon Rx 570
Be quiet PSU with 500w
It's an MSI motherboard i forgot the name I'll add it later if it's important to know¿
Also it's not because of overheating my cpu doesn't go above 55° and my gpu never went above 65° even under heavy load

Hi @vystia
Knowing the motherboard model number will help to check if the BIOS needs updating or not.
Random makes it harder to track down but you have to start somewhere I suppose.
Check in Event Viewer for any Critical, Error and Warning events that are logged when the problem occurs. No doubt there will be Critical events as you're getting Kernel error 41 messages but there may be others which may give more info as to what's happening.
To get to Event Viewer in Win10/11 press the Win key + x key (both together) and click on the Event Viewer link that appears in the menu options.
If it happens frequently try running the PC in safe mode and check if it occurs. If it doesn't then more likely it is a driver problem so again knowing the motherboard model number will help.
If it also happens in safe mode, try getting into BIOS and leaving it there or scroll through the menus for a while and check if it happens.
As I said, random is hard because until you can make it happen or the PC fails completely you have to either wait or try things to make it happen to get some ideas of where to start looking.

one possible problem is "Dirty power" either from your PSU or your powergrid.
i would test the system with a known good PSU if that doesn't fix it, it might be your power Grid
if you have the equipment it's easy to test for using a multimeter and an oscilloscope.
or you could get a UPS with "active power correction"
but the "random" part of the problem makes it quite hard to point at anything definitive

@jayeff it's the msi b450 gaming plus max,the driver is from 3/22/22
Is it possible that this is already the issues since it's outdated?
Also it mainly happens when playing games but even then it sometimes works just fine and sometimes it doesn't.the only critical error i get is the kernel power 41 error
Thanks for your help

Also the VGA light turns on after crashing maybe that helps with identifying the Problem

The common reasons for computers keep crashing are but are not limited to: The display, power supply, or CPU is overheating. The internal hardware of the computer is loose. Software and hardware are incompatible.
