Hello, I'm new to phone modding, and I wanted to know: can I use a battery from another phone on my one plus 2? I have a Motorola phone which has a broken screen, but the battery is just fine. I wanted to know if I can transplant the Motorola battery into my one plus 2.

@techblowhead I'd suggest that you do not try to solder on the battery etc. The specs for the battery may not be what your original battery would use. Remember that these are smart batteries. They use a controller board that enables the battery to actually communicate in a two-way fashion. I am sure that all of that could be overcome, but since batteries for your phone are still readily available, I would not take a chance of a battery to overcharge/undercharge etc. based on replacing a connector etc. That may have some disastrous results for your phone. Do they have the same connector? If they do, I guess you could. Since they are made by different companies on different phones, i wouldn’t expect it to work, but give it a try.

no, but I was thinking that I could take the connecter terminal from my one plus battery, and solder it onto the terminals on my Motorola battery. then i would just connect the battery to the one plus
I would just buy one that matches instead of going through the trouble of doing this @techblowhead
