drill runs about 3 seconds cuts off
I have the same issue with a Metabo drill runs about 3 seconds cuts off I can pop the battery out and put it back in and run about three or four seconds and cut off again

@davidmack2477 how old is the battery pack? Sounds like your battery crumps under load. Replace that and re-evaluate.

Batteries are new. One less than a month the other two maybe 4 months
@davidmack2477 time to tear it down and to take a look at the motor and the resistor. What model is your Metabo
