So I have a pro controller and I don’t wanna have to purchase a new controller, so I was thinking of replacing the motherboard instead of having to replace the joystick, and I was wondering if the rumble packs have to be soldered without the controller working?
So you know what’s wrong with the controller the right joystick is completely smashed like it’s not repairable

Looking at this then the answer to your question is yes, they are soldered. Easy to remove. Just apply the iron to the other side of the board and when the solder melts pull the wire out. Reverse the process to reattach them.

I meant DO I need them for the controller to work I can’t solder
@sqwerks_3464 No, you don't need them. I have a ps4 controller I disconnected the motors on and it works fine.

@sqwerks_3464 yes, think of it as turning off the rumble feedback in game settings. The board will still send power to the connections whether they are connected or not. I’m definitely sure it will work fine without them.

If you broke you joystick, you should replace the joysticks, not the motherboard, as you're putting extra work on your self that is unnecessary

Well, the issue thanks for the answer to the motherboard is dirty and is very old. The charge port is also kind of busted and I was just gonna replace the motherboard since I am on me featuring NOVICE level of soldering, and I was just wondering if I have to replace the rumble packs and Saturday March the new motherboard in order to be able to use the controlLer
could you add images of the motherboard?
also you can clean the motherboard if its very dusty, no need to replace Precision Cleaning Kit
The mother board has glue on it like super glue
Also if the board is dirty I don’t have any soldering equipment and no practice yet so I just want to scrap it for later and replace it is that fine?
well, if theres glues thats not on a normal mother board, then you should replace it, and order joysticks to put on it, and then you should be good to go

The joystick stick in side the modular is broken in half UNREPAIRABLE and that’s on the motherboard so I want to replace it do I need the rumble pack connected to work?
