any source is black and white
Have anyone Fix this Problem?I have same problem. The app icons are in color but anything the tv plays from any source is black and white

@ivebaez that is because your icons are part of the firmware which resides in some IC's on your main board. The video you are receiving does not, so this could be a mainboard issue as well as a T-con board. We will need to know what model your TV is, what you have tried i.e. different HDMI cable and if you have checked all of your video inputs. Do not just rely on one, test them all. WE may even need to see your boards to determine if you have an integrated T-con board or a dedicated one. PITA but probably needs to get done :-)

@ivebaez so this most likely is a main board error with your TV. Here is the interesting information. It appears that this is a common error and that the Vizio main board 756TXCCB02K030 is pretty much unavailable. Anytime a series has common issues, you will find that the boards are almost never available. Of course you can try a used board, check Ebay.com etc. for a replacement. There is also the possibility to have your board repair. Check companies like this for that. Cost is about 75% of a new board.

I have Vizio M3D470KD with an intermittent black&white picture from all HDMI inputs. The solution that worked for me was to try different Picture Modes (e.g. Standard, Movie, Game, Vivid, Football, Golf, Basketball, Baseball, Custom) until color appears. (Press MENU, click Picture, then right/left arrow).
I also have a M3D470KD with this problem. Had the TV since around 2012 I believe. A few months back it started turning on with a black and white, a couple of times with a pinkish blob-like screen instead. Even the menus are black and white, and from all inputs. However, so far turning it off and back on 1 to 3 times will eventually get it to come up with proper color. It does this at least 50% of the time, requiring a turn off/turn on procedure to correct it. I suspect this TV has something going out in it and it's just a matter of time before I'll have to junk it.
I have a Vizio M3D460SR that has been intermittently changing from black and white to blotchy colors to normal colors every time it’s turn on, off and back on again. I have tried different HDMI cables and all of the different HDMI ports, but the problem persists. Any suggestions on what the problem might be and how to fix it.

I have MD3D460SR and it is completely black and white. I have tried different cables, HDMI ports, reset picture, different picture modes, and reset TV to factory and nothing worked. All icons are black and white. Even when I hooked up my laptop to HDMI port, the TV showed only black and white. The picture clarity is very good but only in B&W. Tried playing Blu-ray of Ice Age and it was B&W. I think the TV has gone bad and not worth fixing because of age. However, I bought a 3D Sony near the same time as my Vizio 3D and it is working great. I also have a Samsung that is older than my Vizio and working fine. I am not inclined to go with Vizio going forward. No reason it should be B&W only picture.

I had the same thing happen this morning. I'm streaming so it wont be an HDMI cable thing. All my streaming icons are in color, but when streaming all my channels are in black and white? Thoughts? Suggetsions?
