How do I remove a Stripped GPU Heatsink

As best that I can find out the laptop (HP product number 46R38PA check the info label on the bottom of the laptop to verify), belongs to the HP 15-dw3000 (1A3Y5AV) series. (see here and here and note the product number.

Looking at p.47 of the maintenance and service guide taken from the support webpage for the HP 15-dw3000 (1A3Y5AV) laptop series it states:

"Discrete graphics: In the order indicated on the heat sink, remove the six Phillips M2.0 × 2.8 screws (1) that secure the heat sink to the system board"

The manual also states that a Phillips P1 screwdriver is used for the removal of components in the laptop.

The parts list above shows a screw kit - part # L52043-001 (supplier example only) but it may be a bit much to pay for just 1 screw, which may be available from the local hardware store.

As to how to remove the stripped screw you could either try using a set of screw extracting pliers or perhaps a screw extractor (examples only)
