Model 111.2914#, Lights flash, but nothing seems to work

We recently bought a 2 year old house that came with a washer and dryer set. We've used it for the past month and not had any problems. Suddenly the past few days, it has stopped working and seems to not respond to any interactions. I've unplugged from the power for 30minutes and plugged back in, but the same status continues.

Model: Kenmore 111.2914#

Here's a video to what we get from it. The bg noise is from the bathroom fan.

I attached a picture incase the link doesn't work.

I cannot seem to find any information on what the flashing lights are indicating, I assume some kind of error code. Any suggestions? I do not believe it is under warranty.

Can you take a picture of the front and back of the circuit boards inside the unit and upload them here? There should be screws on the back so you can take off the back, and then you can pull off the mode knob and take out the circuit board. Let me know if you need any additional help. 기존 질문에 이미지 추가하기

Hi @usamac39314

Your machine is a Daewoo washing machine made for Kenmore so there's not much info out there on this one, or at least not much that I could find.

Not saying that it will work but try the following and check if it resets the machine:

Disconnect the power to the machine for about 5 minutes and then reconnect it.

Then power on the machine, and press the Start button.

Reboot the washer by using the open/close lid reset procedure. Just open and close the lid 6 times in 12 seconds after you press the start button.

@jayeff You can get the manual at https://i.sears.com/s/d/pdf/mp-tc/101093... . There is a wiring diagram on page 28.

If the washer isn't fixed by your open/close lid reset procedure, I suspect it is a problem with the main PCB.

@andrewsawesome

I had found that earlier but the wiring doesn't show much except where the AC comes in and looking at the video posted by the OP there's power on the control panel, but no error codes in the display (no even Er) only straight bars, flashing lights on the cycle timer and the chime light going on and off unless a combination of all these means something. So I didn't think it was worthwhile linking it

Most probably you're correct that it is the control board but the only parts supplier that i could find doesn't show the board as a part and the part number for the control panel (if the board is included with that) doesn't show anything when searching online for it.

The model number shown by the part supplier (111.29142120) is the only one I could find when searching for 111. 2914???? and I don't even know if that's the correct one for the OP.

Wow I really appreciate all of the feed back.

@Andrew S, I have not had the time to pull it out and remove the rear cover to get the images you requested. If the other suggestions offered do not work, I will try to do so this weekend, depending on how busy the wife keeps me.

@jayeff I will try that out when I get home. I found elsewhere, that it might have been the control lock, but per the manual instructions or the typical press and hold for 5+ sec the button, nothing seems to resolve it.

I did leave the washer completely unplugged last night when I quit messing with it. I am looking forward to going home to try these out!

@andrewsawesome Thank you for the insight, I really hope that's not the case but you just may be right. I've always avoided considering Kenmores, I am beginning to wonder if this experience was prementioned lol.
