Replacement capacitor for Lennox icomfort 10f81 Thermostat

I am trying to figure out the replacement Capacitors for the 10f81 thermostat. There was guide created for this but the Capacitors shown don't match what I have in my thermostat. Here is the link to the guide...Lennox iComfort 10F81 Thermostat Blank Screen Fix. I am attaching pictures of the Capacitors in my thermostat. The Capacitors in question are the "220 HHB. JD4" and the "E 4DB 47 10V".

@burtone the first capacitor look like a Panasonic brand based on the markings. It is a 220µF 50VDC (Based on the first "H") surface mount electrolytic capacitor. The second one is a 47µF 10V surface mount electrolytic capacitor. You will need to measure the diameter of the capacitors for replacement since that determines the size of the cap. Anyhow, something like this for Number One and these ones for Number Two

Oldturkey03...Thanks for the reply. I appreciate the explanation as to what the markings mean on the caps. It's overwhelming that there are so many of them. I'll measure the diameter to see which one(s) will work.

@burtone yes it is because each manufacturer pretty much has their own way of marking their caps series. It does get confusing. Best of luck with your repair.

@burtone Tbe blue capacitor in your unit is a United Chemi-Con NPCAP-PXE series capacitor, while the gray capacitors in your unit are Panasonic HB series capacitors. You can use this and this as replacement capacitors. Let me know if you need any further assistance

@burtone I have iComfort 10f81, it started to show lines and gradually has become blank screen. My app also lost connection, when I tried to reseat the thermostat.

I thought of replacing capacitor before spending on new thermostat. Looks like my thermostat has different capacitors. Attached are the pictures, please let me know the links to the capacitors that would work for this thermostat.

@raj39584 These are actually the same brand and series of capacitors that the OP had. You can use https://www.digikey.com/en/products/deta... and https://www.digikey.com/en/products/deta... as replacements. Let me know if you live in a country other than the United States of America and I can send you different links

Thanks Andrew, will give a try and let you know if it works.

I just replaced the capacitors in my lennox 10F81 control screen and an confirm that the process worked just fine. I did tear a leg of the old capacitor but was able to scratch the board to get a soldering point adjacent to the original point. I have a video and can share if you are interested, let me know.

@josecastre30495 I think that would be a great idea. I think the best way to do it would be to post it on YouTube and paste the link here. I can then add it to the current guide.

Would love to see your video. I’ve ripped a capacitor leg with the pad off the board and trying to figure out how to remedy.
