Can I switch motherboards in between computers?

Hey, Thanks in advance for any answers

I have an Acer C740 Chromebook and a Lenovo Laptop from probably 2015-2017. I wanted to know if I could swap the motherboards on both computers without issue. I normally don't deal with hardware I deal with software, I am a bit scared to do these things. If this is possible I would love to try it. Thanks!

@kalyabhatt if you mean swapping it from the Acer to the Lenovo, then the answer is No. Different boards, different layout, different altogether.
