How do you open case to replace battery?
I have the battery replacement recommended by Dell, but cannot open the case to insert the battery.

Here's the service manual taken from this support webpage for the laptop.
Go to p.11 to view the procedure to remove the base cover.
On p.29 you will find the pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove/replace the battery
