@amadouceesay that is one of those really non-specific errors. Can be caused by a faulty gas cap, to failed O2 sensor, bad MAF and even a bad ECU. And many many more things ;-)
The best thing to do, is to have your Jetta properly scanned, and see what error code it gives you.
