I replaced the inner screen on a flip 4, everything worked okay until I closed the device and reopened it. After that, only the outside screen works until I force restart the device. After restarting, it works properly again until the screen is closed, at which point it goes black again. I've absolutely no idea what could be causing this, please let me know if you've experienced it before!

Hi @andrewscales ! This sounds to me like a potentially loose display ribbon, have you already tried reseating all the connectors you can see? It may also be worth cleaning them with Isopropyl alcohol just to ensure there's no dirt or corrosion getting in the way. Thanks!

Hello, it is a common problem in Samsung Z 4 Flip.
The problem comes from the intercom Flex replacement. This replacement connects the main board with the charging board that is connected to the screen, when opening and closing it so many times it wears out and starts to fail and produces this problem. Here in Argentina we solve it, but many do not do this work and directly tell you to change the entire screen

I saw the how to vid on YouTube and he said if that metal cover over cables isn't on it come in monetarily, like what's happening ing with me. I disconnect the battery and restart and it's fine until like you say I close, even though I got that bit in, ve had it open and closed and done reupdate, then it did it again...I'm wondering if it's sensing it. You glued it all back together I'm guessing. If I can work it out I'll come back and let you know. Btw, whoever answered it can't be the ribbons, as it would glitch and not be like perfect and then decide from an open not to work. It's definitely a weird one.
