My phone is not charging

@master70307 first thin you want to do is to check if your phone actually tries to charge. Connect an ammeter to it and see how many amps it pulls while off. See if it even tries to charge. Next I would replace the battery. It is your battery that report its state of charge to the mainboard which then opens or closes the charging circuit (very simplified). Your battery control board may not allow the battery to be charged. After replacing the battery and no change in symptom, change the charging board. It is possible that you have a bad charging port or a component on the board.

After that you will be looking at a board level repair. For that you will need the schematic and the component layout of the main board. You will also need some pretty good tools and multimeters to work on that type of repair.

Since iFixit does not have any guides for theis model, use YT videos like this to do those repairs.

While you work on your phone, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit. That will help the next person that has the same problem as you do.
