I have a Vizio E-420i-B0 that stopped responding to the remote.
Have reset remote and TV with no change. Also tried a generic remote that also will not communicate with TV. Ready to toss TV now.

If you can turn on/off the TV using the TV's Power button and also access the TV's input menu using the Power button and generally the TV is working OK i.e. picture and sound OK, then perhaps the only problem may be with the TV's IR sensor board
Search online for 3639-0032-0189 to find suppliers that suit you best. The part number is on the back of the board if you wish to verify that I've linked the correct part number.
