The sound controls work but I cannot get any sound?

What is the signal source i.e. TV antenna, cable box, media streaming device etc?
If not an antenna what type of connection is used between the signal source and the TV e.g. HDMI, Component video + audio, Composite video + audio?
Have you tried different signal input ports, input types, cables to check if there is any audio?
What sound output is used i.e. TV speakers or external speaker system?
If external system do the TV speakers work OK?
