@esmi13832 could be an issue with the actual backlight or with the motherboard. Possibilities are a bad backlight fuse, bad display connector, bad LED driver, Backlights not enabled, bad display cable, or any other component within the backlight circuitry. We will need to know your exact motherboard. It will be printed on the board somewhere. If schematics are available , we can tell you what to check and where to check it. You would need a multimeter for that.

By this do you mean that the screen turns on, but is too dim and won't get any brighter?
