I have a MacBook air 2020 mod. A2179 intel i3
It doesn't turn on because the battery is dead, but when I try to recover the system connected to the power it won't let me. It works very slow but too slow.
I enter the password for the WiFi and it just loads. I can't get to disk utility
What could be the cause, could it be the battery problem, or board damage?

Have you tried creating a bootable installer? Créer une clé USB bootable
This way you won't need to enter the WiFi password, and the Mac will boot from the USB Drive.
But, if you want to recovery the data, you should boot into Target Disk Mode How to Recover Data From a MacBook
