The battery take too long to be fully charged.

The Nokia G22 (64 GB memory size) take too long to be fully charged.I use provided wall charger and cable in product package

The problem started when Android operating system was upgraded from Android 12 to a Android 13 operating system. I believe there was a standard time up to 120-130 minutes for a charging period from 20% battery remaining percentage within Android 12 OS. Currently with Android 13 OS if the phone in ON position it would take up to 8 to 9 hours !!! to finish it. But if I put the phone in OFF position ( Power off the phone) the battery still become fully charged within 120-130 minutes from 20% remaining battery percentage. I have missed many incoming calls.

I am having same issue. I've asked nokia and the proposed some solution (last one: soft reset) but it did not work. They told me that probably this issue will be solved on next update...

@masoud5485 since this happened after an upgrade and this is a relatively new phone, it is most likely the upgrade that caused this. It is not uncommon to have issues like this after upgrades :-) First I would try to contact Nokia and find out if there are known compatibility issues with Android 13. Not Much of a repair here since this is a software driven issue.

If nothing else you could try to go back to Android 12. Check things like this video

I have the same phone and the same problem. Аppeared after update to android 13. Ampere shows charging with only 500 mA. If I restart the phone while plugged into the charger, it starts working as expected from a 10W charger c.a. 2000 mA. So far I have not been able to find another solution. It is annoying to restart my phone every time before charging. I hope nokia will help. I'll keep an eye on the topic.

I have the same issue, but not when it was operating under Android 13, but only in the last 2 weeks since the phone updated now to Android 14. I have been in contact with Nokia, and found them to be hopeless, and really have their head buried in the sand over the issue. Even asking me to send a video of the issue...what a joke as one I dont use video, and 2 how can I video my phone issue when needing the phone to video. But anyhow, I looked at your video on how to roll back to previous Android version. It's all too complicated for me. All of these ideas are okay, if you are tech savvy. But I am elderly, have no ideas about tech. I just want to use my phone as a phone as intended without all f the whizz bang stuff they also have to offer....phone and text messages. But I do want fast charging. Anyhow, I do thank you for your suggestion of the video on how to roll back to Android 12, but that idea is not for me.

I am having the same issue and it would take hours to charge the battery.
I changed in Settings -> Battery - Adaptive Battery to off. It improved charging, but it still seems a bit slower than before the upgrade to Android 13.

I too now am having the same issue with my Nokia G22. It has occurred only since it did an update a couple of weeks ago now to Android 14. It takes about 11 hours to recharge from 20%.......this is ridiculous. I have tried many different fast chargers, and usb C cables, even went a purchased a brand new cable. It simply refuses to charge at Fast charge. And to make matters worst, when I try to charge with the phone being powered off.....IT WONT LET ME. If I try turning phone off whilst charging, it turns itself off, and immediately then turns itself back on again. If I turn the phone off, and then plug the charger in, it also turns itself back on. This is annoying. I have contacted Nokia, and it seems like they have no idea either, they keep coming back and asking questions. I am not impressed. This is my first Nokia phone since about 2005. Prior to 2005, I only ever had Nokia phones. I will never be buying a Nokia phone again. I have not tried a factory reset, but I see on here, that a person has tried that, and it made no difference. I think I will have to go and buy a Samsung phone, which I normally buy.
