Display Glue Strips Not Holding in Lower Right Corner

It was a fun project:
I converted a 27" iMac into a 5K display using a special display driver board from AliExpress. I did a good job removing and cleaning the old glue strips before applying the new iFixit glue strips.

When setting the display back on the case I had to make a couple of lateral position adjustments and while doing so lifted the display from the bottom glue strip where it had been very briefly attached. Not sure if that's the source of my problem...
What I'm seeing is that the glue is holding well except for that lower right corner, where the display seems to be slightly lifting away from the case, for maybe about 4-6" from that corner.
I keep pushing it back in place and it seems to hold briefly, but eventually curls slightly away in that corner. My concern is that the problem could grow and the display actually fall off the case. So...
My question: is there some way I can reglue/fix that lower right corner without removing everything and starting over.
Other than this problem, my project turned out great, and it's 5K display works like a charm with my Mac.

Sounds like the shell is warped a bit. I would take off the screen again and using a known flat plate (a piece of window glass?) to measure the bend and using a bit of elbow grease reshape the case.

Using a fresh set of adhesive strips, start off cleaning the edge making sure all of the old glue is removed and wipe down the edge with 90% IPA as the cheaper stuff often has junk in it which will mess you up. Lastly I always warm up the case and the displays glass edge with a heat gun (don't heat the LCD panel part) and I only pull off the tape covers after I've placed the display where I want it following this procedure iMac Intel 27" Retina 5K Display 2019 Adhesive Strips Replacement

The last step is to use a J roller to press the display down into the case, if needed reheat the case as the warmer the case and glass edge is the better the bond.

Thank you for the info. It didn't occur to me that the case might be warped, as the fit before removal was perfect. But then again during handling and cleaning, I suppose some bending could occur.

I thought it might be difficult to remove the glue strip cover once the display was perched on that tiny ledge. I was working alone and was afraid that the glass might drop to the desk. That would surely cause damage.

I am hesitant to remove the glass. The wiring harness inside leading out is a bit on the fragile side at its attachment; damaging it wouldn't be difficult.

Is there any way to add adhesive into the gap, without removal. I'd consider it, even if it wasn't reversible. Thank you!

@violinteacher - The issue you face here is the tape has a foam core which I’m thinking has spilt on you. Remember the pizza cutter tool you used to open the system it’s designed to cut into the foam to allow you entry. So now with a failed strip adding any glue will likely prevent entry again without causing damage.

I’ve messed up a few times with the tapes, I still make the effort to replace them so the job is done right.

In the fall A few years ago I was often working on a few Systems in a day for new college students gear ready with RAM and storage upgrades. So in the rush I sometimes struggled. Even still it’s not worth the pain later on gluing or using the wrong tape.
