How do I convert this used 1TB PC Hard Drive as a Storage Device?

I have removed this WD Blue PC hard drive some weeks ago and it was working fine, but now when I tried to but it in an external casing to be used as a Storage Device, it is just spinning and making that clicking noice and then coming up with an error message "E:/ is not accessible. This request failed due to a fatal device hardware error". Please help me set this as an external driver. Regards Simon

Clicking is likely from a damaged head.

Watch this video to get an idea about this problem--->

Dropping or just wear and tear can cause this.

Sometimes software like SpinRite 6.1 can fix this is it is just corrupted data.

Otherwise like the video above is the only solution.
