Can an expansion card be cleaned with water?

My USB-A expansion port has gathered some dust - can I safely rinse it with water after taking it out?

Hey there,

Water is not recommended for any electronic repair. iFixit does have a pretty nice guide for Cleaning the Ports on a Device, and I would highly recommend giving it a read.
