Why is the tablet not noticing my internet
In settings when searching for my internet to connect it does not show my home wi fi service. I also cannot figure out how to download a QR code reader

Has the device been dropped or gotten wet at all?
Try using it as close as possible to your home WiFi router i.e. <15cm and check if it detects and connects to the network.
If it does there may be an antenna problem in the device.
Here's the ifixit Unbranded UB-15MS10 Motherboard Replacement guide that may help.
The single black antenna cable can be seen in the image in Step 4. going from the mounting post on the left side to the motherboard on the right.
As for a QR app, once you have the WiFi working here's an app that's available from the Microsoft store that you can download and install.

Is your home Wi-Fi router using the 5 GHz band? If so, your device may not be able to see it because it only sees 2.4 GHz connections, not 5 GHz connections. You can try reconfiguring your router to use 2.4 GHz to see if the problem is resolved.

How about starting with some troubleshooting steps instead of a major replacement????????????
If you are in an area where there are other wifis, does it see ANY wifi networks?
If not, it is internal to your unit and may be fixed by settings or by replacing the wifi module - not the whole MB.
If you see others, then it is your router configuration or hardware. Insure it is configure to transmit the frequency your device is looking for.
