nancy, "The Fan Control Relay is bolted beneath the battery tray.
That's a known failure item when the fans are inoperative.
Part number is: 141-951-253-B
The Fan Control Module is on the lower driver side of the radiator...
or it can be located on the driver side lower framerail." This is what it looks like (just a different number :) Hope this helps, good luck.

Replaced that module but the fans will still nit work
harikesh sewraj have you checked the fans? You have power to the fans, the relay as well? Same vehicle?
I tryed jumping the terminals on the temp switch harness and fan didnt come on. Now to check for voltage.

check your fan motor ! here a how to :-) good luck mines just blow the 30A fuse yesterday..... i will probably need to replace the fuse box.... grrrrrr

I have changed the control module temp sensor thermostat n radaitor n still cant get my ac clutch to engage nor the fans to spin which ive checked the fuses n tested the fans im starting to think that theses jettas have bad grounds throughout there wiring harnesses cause i fixed my lisence plate light by regrounding the harness in the trunk

I have the same problems and I have done the same as you but it won’t turn on
My 06 jetta fan comes as soon as turn my car on and at a very high speed goes off for a few senconds and comes back on the small fan won't come on
mine literally turns on an off constantly when my car is completely off..... i don’t have a clue what to do

i have the same problem going on with my 2000 VW jetta that the cooling fans stopped working one stopped then the other about a month later

fuse box on top of battery went bad replaced it both fans began working again

I have a 2002 jetta vr6 24 valve I changed the control module and fuse box on top of the battery tray n still no fans I have power to the module and to the fan switch but none to the fans what am I missing I haven’t been Able to drive this car in two weeks
