If you don't need to be connected to the internet all the time, try enabling the data saver setting and check if this helps to stop the phone from overheating.

Here's a video that shows how to do this.

Enabling this setting will prevent apps from using the internet in the background without you knowing about it, causing the phone to work harder (and heat up) unnecssarily.

When you want to go on the internet or even to send/receive mms messages (texts with pictures, videos etc - ordinary sms messages are unaffected) just disable the data saver setting whilst you're online.

Also if it isn't necessary check that the WiFi and BT are also turned off, because if they're on, they are constantly searching for networks and devices to connect and pair to, causing the phone to heat up
