Why can't I open my computer?

my laptop is ASUS x54h, my computer has broken, and when I use external power supply, the energy led is liting up，but can't open the computer(even I use tweezers touch the power pin), I check the power source of computer mainboard, anything is normal, nothing has been burned, could you tell me why the computer in such situation?
