Camera's shutter button unable take pictures

The shutter button clicks but does not take any pictures when pressed, lens is fine as zoom still works. I feel like there's something wrong in the board I just do not have any idea how to carefully disassemble the camera.

I would first make sure the storage isn't full. I don't have any experience with this particular camera, but I'd assume it uses some sort of SD card for storage, so I'd replace that first and see if it works then. If that doesn't work, you could try to replace the sensor that takes the photos (it's called a CCD, or Charged Coupled Device), but the part might be hard to find, so I'd try a factory reset (if possible) before getting into that.

Sorry for the late reply, I've tried your suggestions before attempting to open my camera up, unfortunately, it seems like I would have to replace the top control panel part that I've found on eBay, not sure how it would go... might update if I feel like it, thank you for responding though.

If you happen to have a multimeter or a resistance meter, you could also try testing whether or not the button is allowing a charge to pass before you replace it. Just find the button's input/output contacts and test them with and without the button being pressed down. If there's no change in resistance, try changing one test location. Some buttons have four pins, and it's hard to tell which is which sometimes. If the resistance still doesn't change, it's probably the button and you might have to replace the part you were talking about.
