Why is the touchpad doesn't work

It happens after I came home from school when I bring my laptop in my backpack, but stupid of me, I accidently make my backpack in the couch that has my laptop in it, fall to the ground, the laptop mostly fine, but when I turn it on, the touchpad doesn't work
