I bought this camera second hand just to practice on, but the camera actually won't focus, and all my photos are blurry. The lens moves in and out to open, and close but still won't focus, even on Auto mode.

Could you test a well-lit, high-contrast subject about 2 metres away, with macro mode off, first without zoom and then with some optical zoom? When you half-press the shutter, does the AF frame turn red or does the camera give a double beep and a green indicator? Are the saved photos blurry in both zoom positions?

The seller may have held back information about this very problem. If it was already faulty and sold as is, the old adage of buyer beware is applicable. Testing before buying should have revealed the problem. You might find info on what to try and test from questions already asked and Guides provided.
