I have a Polaroid TLX-03210B LCD TV. I have searched everywhere i cant find anything on how to fix this and what i do find is too vague. A service manual, repair manual, or a schematic would be wonderful. Thanks.

simi6, while I am still trying to find a manual for that TV, check the capacitors on the power supply. Most common error for your TV are blown caps. Check for any bulging of the capacitors top, they should be flat, as well as check for leaking caps.

Try this for further trouble shooting. Make the room as dark as possible, and turn the TV on. Even if the screen is black, you may see a faint glow coming from it. That would be the backlight. this would indicate a bad inverter.With the TV still on, hold a flashlight hold a flashlight at an angle close to the screen and look for faint images, shadows, or movement etc. If you do identify those, then your TC has a bad backlight. If there is absolutely nothing on your screen, I am betting my money on the power supply. This particular model,like many of the LCD TV's, has overheating issues of the caps. You could try and purchase a repair kit which is readily available at places like this. the large capacitor, that is not in this kit,is a 150mF@450V. Make sure that all of the capacitors that you replace are 105c rated and that the heatsink is properly applied. The power board can be replaced as a complete unit, but is more expensive as well as harder to come by due to it having been discontinued. The part number for it is 860-azo-ipos150h. the attached image number only depicts bad caps in general, the second image is one of the power board for your TV, with the location of the caps marked. There should also be two fuses marked F1 and F2 on it.Hope this helps for now, good luck.

as for the Caps ive looked the whole thing over im not sure what or where to look but nothing lookes out of the ordinary how many fuses does it have i have located one and its fine
simi6, should not be a fuse issue since you have audio. I have an older Sony that had the same problem and it turned out to be the video switching IC. Do you still have a menu showing, or is your screen absolutely blank? If it is blank, with no OSD menu, it is most likely the power supply not supplying the LCD. There should be 3 capacitors on the power board.
I think I have the same issue, the 2 capacitors on the top are slightly bulging. Im going to check radio shack and see if they carry them- wish me luck. I have no clue on how to solder, guess I'll youtube that.
good luck Gabby. Make sure that you gt the 105C capacitors. Radio Shack loves to sell the 85C that will promptly overheat again. the soldering is not very difficult. You might want to try on an old logic board first. Decent video on here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oyJYZRRU... but do not use a propane soldering iron.

not an easy manual to find. I guess Polaroid does not like them to get into the wrong hands. Still working on it....
