The Acer Aspire 5740-5780 was a durable laptop manufactured by Acer for home or business use. It can be identified by a large rectangular silver sticker right next to the keyboard on the open space where you would rest your right hand if you were typing. The sticker should list some of the specs that we mention below and should say “ASPIRE 5740-5780”. Incase this sticker is missing there should also be a smaller shiny black plastic label right above where the sticker would be that says “ASPIRE 5740”; although this label won’t guarantee you have the 5740-5780 it does mean that your computer is likely similar enough for this wiki to apply to it.
