Identification and background
The CREATIVE NOMAD II Media Player is a compact portable audio player that was released by Creative Technology in the early 2000s. The player runs on a 64MB SmartMedia memory card, which allows users to upload personal music from their computers via USB connection. It features a FM radio with room for storing up to 32 preset stations, and a voice recorder. It also has a large LCD screen with backlighting for easy viewing.
The NOMAD II is about the size of a deck of playing cards. It is grey with the CREATIVE logo on the top of the front cover, and “NOMAD II” centered on the bottom. In the NOMAD family, the NOMAD II is only player that has a FM radio and uses a 64MB memory card.
